I haven't seen you in church lately
Well, there's not much sense in my going to church
Let's go for a walk
It's quiet, a cold and dark outside
The air is to our satisfaction
Only night owls are awake
The leaves are turning, our hearts are yearning
We are the ghouls
The only ones that were left behind
We hide our true form, the world's not ready
Nor kind, but the tide is turning
Now that your mind is fading
We fear the crowd, we hide in the dark
The graveyard gives us sanctuary
The dead don't speak
We sway, we fly, we dream
Of one day it will all be calm
That you will all go away
And we will feel at home
The men have been screaming
Loudly now for way too long
Their fingers have been meddling
Pestering, too deeply
We smell the poison of their existance
It's all too bright, like needles in our hollow eyes
Too dark and deep to pierce, but yet it stings
Let's take this last walk and listen to the dead sing
And then the light from the moon shines down
And reveals the pathway home
